Te Lovers Newsletter - “NAGORI”
Nagori
October is the time called NAGORI among tea people, when we feel sentimental about tea left over from the previous crop before the new tea arrives in November.
We would like to hold a tea gathering at Te House of Tea to have a quiet moment to appreciate the changing season. Our tea master friends of the Urusenke will host this Chado, popularly known as a "Japanese Tea Ceremony". To observe or participate, please come and taste some tea & sweets, this Saturday, 2:30 - 3:30 pm.
Other Events
Next Wednesday, October 17, we'll be part of the University of Houston Fair Trade Open House. Drop by our booth in the Cougar Den, University Center, between 11 am and 4 pm, for a chat, and to review our collection of exclusively fair trade products.
Saturday, October 27, we'll be hosting another live music event. Details soon!
On Halloween, October 31, we'll be closing at 6 pm. Spooks don't drink tea, so we won't be serving! (Also, there's a few parties we'd like to attend that evening!!)
New Tea Poll
Help us do some research by taking out latest survey: Tea Take #4 (http://www.tehouseoftea.com/polls/teatake4). We're curious to know if we should be opening early for breakfast or not. When we first started our shop, we opened every day at 7:30 am and closed at 6 pm. Well, at 5:50 pm every evening, the place was packed -- ok, we get the hint, our neighborhood is a very late crowd! So, we shifted our hours later and later, especially since the morning was absolutely quiet. But, we wonder, are we missing the early tea drinkers? We certainly insist on having our early cup of tea; what about you? So, in this survey, we ask, "should we open early for breakfast on weekdays?". Please take a minute to answer the survey with your suggested opening hours. Thanks!
Morning sunshinely yours,
The Té House of Tea staff
